A home inspection is an evaluation of a home's condition by a trained expert.

All licensed Home Inspectors in North Carolina are required to inspect and report on the same systems and parts of a home.
During a home inspection, a qualified inspector takes an in-depth and impartial look at the home.
A home inspection is a visual examination of the physical structure and major interior systems of a home.
A home inspection is not an appraisal, a code inspection, a guarantee, and/or an insurance policy on the condition of the home.

A Home Inspector does not need to have any knowledge of the local real estate market. That job is for your real estate agent.
During your inspection, I will review the readily accessible exposed portions of the structure of the home, including the roof, attic, walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors, basement, and foundation as well as the heating/air conditioning systems, interior plumbing and electrical systems for potential problems. A home inspection is not intended to point out every small problem or any invisible or latent defects in a home.
